One of the most powerful team meeting topics you can implement is having your agents create a weekly schedule—an hour-by-hour time block for their work week.

Real estate is a difficult career for many agents to grasp because, unlike traditional jobs, there is no set schedule. Since kindergarten, most people have been trained to follow structure: wake up, go to school, follow the bell, and complete tasks within set time blocks. When someone transitions from a traditional career into real estate, that structure disappears—and unless a team leader reintroduces it, they drift in the wind.

This is one of the primary reasons the 80/20 rule exists in sales. Twenty percent of people are natural self-starters or workaholics who simply can’t turn it off. The other 80% could be just as successful, but they lack the framework. That’s where your team comes in. A schedule provides the structure needed to turn potential into production.
